Sustainable Lifecycle
BG&E creates biomass energy which is clean, “green” energy. The process operates in a closed carbon cycle, is carbon neutral and forms a sustainable lifecycle.
All BG&E projects are also greenhouse gas neutral. When fossil fuels are converted into energy, they emit greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide which cause a “greenhouse effect”. Scientists believe this is a contributing factor to global warming. Biomass emits carbon dioxide when it decays naturally and when it is used to produce energy, however, living biomass in plants and trees absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. Thus, because our projects have such low emissions there is a closed cycle with no net gain of greenhouse gases.
By substituting biomass renewable energy for fossil-based energy like burning coal, greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced which is better for the enivronment and can help stem the tide of climate change.
